In our yard Het Spoel, right next to Werk aan ’t Spoel with Caatje aan de Lek and near Fort Everdingen with brewery Duits & Lauret, you will find our cosy accommodations between our Spoel Meadow and the ‘fortress’ Werk aan het Spoel. Spoel Meadow is a landscape garden in (first) construction referring to and surrounded by all kinds of interesting native nature and culture. Many walking and cycling routes run over the dike and through the farmers’ meadows. The area is part of UNESCO’s world heritage the Dutch Waterlines and you can experience that well!


The yard consists of a farm from before 1648, renovated in 1906 and from 2017, a black barn, renovated in 2018 based on the wooden construction from the 18th century, the haystack completely renovated in 2020 on the site of a centuries-old real haystack and Olina's Dacha, a tiny house for our (mother-in-law Olga who eventually left for Ukraine with homesickness. In all accommodations we offer accommodation and in the yard all kinds of experiences to make your stay a party! Our accommodations on 't Spoel can be booked directly with us without (high) booking fees.

Questions

  • What is the check-in and check-out time?

    Check-in is from 4:00 PM, and check-out is by 11:00 AM. If you would like to park earlier or longer or need our help to cool stuff, this will be possible in most cases.

  • What amenities are included at Het Spoel?

    All accommodations come fully equipped with Wi-Fi, air conditioning, kitchens with modern appliances, private outdoor spaces, and comfortable living areas. See the list of amenities and the link with a pdf for each accommodation on this website.

  • Is parking available at the properties?

    Yes, we have over 10 free private parking spaces available for guests close to the accommodations. Please inform us if you intend to come with more than 2 cars per accommodation.

  • How far are the properties from the nearest beach?

    Het Spoel is only 200 meters from the Rhine, locally known as the Lek. There are many small beaches where hardly no one comes. There's also a small ferry to the other side at 400 meters.

  • Are the properties family-friendly?

    Yes, the yard is very family-friendly. Het Spoel offers plenty of outdoor space and two private playgrounds. Each accommodation has its own private, peaceful garden is perfect for families with children. High chairs and cribs are available upon request. We frequently host families spread over multiple accommodations.

  • Are the accommodations easily accessible?
